Meet L Havana - our first Arabo Friesian filly. We are incredibly excited venturing into a new breed this year. Lucky for us, we met Christiana Pfeiffer from The Friesian Ranch in Armstrong, B.C. and she has helped us enter the world of Friesian and Arabo Friesian horses with a beautifully bred purebred Friesian mare, Tanya v.L. Tanya's bloodlines are some of the best Friesian bloodlines in North America.

I swear everyone I know is a little tired of the "long story" every time they ask about Havana.  In my defense, I have to say that I am overall just infatuated with the history of the Arabo Friesian.  After all, this isn't a whim or "just a cross"....breeders in Europe put a lot of effort into the refinement of this fantastic breed.  The result of this 30 year breeding program is a more modern, sporty Friesian horse.  In our modern times, agricultural horses are not in demand, and the driving horse industry is smaller than the sport horse industry by far!  So here we have one of the most stunning, beautiful equines in the world now refined to become much more desireable for the sport horse and dressage enthusiast!

L Havana is one of only two 91% Friesian / 9% Arabian fillies in all of North America.  She is a rare beauty and when you watch her run & play, there is no doubt in my mind she has a degree of versatility far beyond what most people would believe.  It makes her rare, it makes her unique and combined with that truly "golden" personality known to Friesians, she is going to capture the heart of anyone who meets her.
